Student Work Placement

Students not currently employed within the aged care, home care or disability industries will be required to complete at least 120 hours of work placement. Sufficient time is needed to develop the skills and assess the competence of the student in all required units of study. Work placements are sourced for all students. An orientation to your work placement will occur during week 3 of the course. After this orientation day, students will have set days and hours on placement.

Course Duration

This course is delivered in a self-paced format with tutorial and workplace training and assessment. Students have 12 months to complete the course however, the completion time will vary depending upon the individual learner and whether or not RPL or direct credits apply. The course can be finished shortly after completion of the 8 week program if modules, work placement and assessments are also complete and marked competent.
