You will need to obtain a National Police Check before commencing your work placement. This is a mandatory requirement for working in Aged Care (only) and costs around $52. Police checks can be done through your local Police Station or online. There are quite a few to choose from so it’s worthwhile shopping around.  Remember it must be a National check not a QLD only. You will need to complete your Police Check before you start workplace training. It can take around 4-5 weeks to arrive, so arrange this early!

The minimum age for eligible applicants is 17 years. Demonstrated proficiency in literacy and numeracy is required to undertake this course.

RPL means Recognition of Prior Learning. Students may be able to shorten the length of their studies through the recognition of past qualifications gained elsewhere. Call or email us to see if you qualify.
