Sunshine Coast business All Care Training has developed an outstanding reputation for excellence with a high percentage of students securing employment either during or shortly after completing their course. Our Aged Care Certificate III students have good reason to feel confident in pursuing their new careers.

General Manager and Nurse Trainer Sonya Maley puts the success of the program down to a number of factors. “We do things a little differently to many other training providers- things that have proven hugely successful”.

“What really sets us apart from the others is our ‘on the job’ approach to teaching and learning. You can only learn so much out of a book – effective practical learning only happens in the workplace. Many Aged Care students are too often left to secure their own placements and some facilities are now charging students for their placement time. This is not only costly to the student, but leaves them very daunted and unsupported in an unfamiliar environment“.

All Care Training has developed great relationships with quality care facilities on the Sunshine Coast. “We organise compulsory work placement within these facilities for our students at no additional charge. They get the opportunity to work in both Aged Care and Specialised Rehabilitation during their training and our nurse educators spend time with them on the floor providing the support they need to gain competency.”

All Care Training is very fortunate to be the only Sunshine Coast training organisation to offer Aged Care Certificate III students the chance to train in a Specialised Rehabilitation Hospital. “Our students receive practical hands on training in this Rehab setting; an invaluable learning experience. In this more acute setting, students are trained in other aspects of general nursing care such as clinical observations, taking blood sugar readings and helping clients regain their independence through intensive rehabilitation therapy”.
